Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
8:02 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, South SR19, north of West CR 800S, Mentone. Drivers: Phillip R. Waddle, 18, North CR 650W, Warsaw, Elijah W. Holder, 17, West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw, Madison M. Francis, 17, East CR 700N, Rochester, Kaitlin R. Shepherd, 17, West SR25, Mentone, and Payton M. Fincher, 17, East CR 700N, Rochester. All five drivers were traveling south on SR19 when Waddle’s vehicle began to slide, Holder’s vehicle veered left, and Francis’ vehicle collided with Holder’s vehicle. Shepherd’s vehicle collided with Waddle’s, and Fincher’s vehicle collided with Shepherd’s. Damage up to $50,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 1200 South Huntington Street. Driver: Markie M. Richards, 54, East CR 200N, Peru. Richards washed her vehicle at Wilby’s when she realized the day after washing her car that she hit a coin machine while entering the car wash. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:54 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, South Columbia Street, north of West Smith Street. Driver: Earl E. Fields, 63, West Smith Street, Warsaw. Fields was driving south on South Columbia Street and wanted to park on the right side of the roadway. His vehicle got too close to a parked and unoccupied vehicle, and the passenger side of Fields’ vehicle made contact with the parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
