LEESBURG — One person was injured after a shooting occurred in Leesburg around 5 p.m. today, April 1.

The shooting occurred in the area of Leesburg Sand and Gravel. One male subject suffered from gunshot wounds and was transported by Lutheran Air. The landing zone was set up at the Leesburg Fire Station.

Three individuals were being taken to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department for interviews. It is not yet clear how the shooting occured but it appears to be domestic in nature.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Plain Township Fire Department and Lutheran EMS.
