Claypool
Officers with the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:17 p.m. Saturday, March 31, Section Street, east of Rebecca Street. Driver: Amanda L. Lincoln, 35, North Main Street, Claypool. Lincoln was driving on Section Street at about 15 miles per hour over the posted speed limit when she left the roadway and struck a NIPSCO utility pole. A two-year-old minor, Colten Lincoln, was in the vehicle, but wasn’t injured. Lincoln was transported to Parkview Hospital in Warsaw for abdominal and pelvic pain. Lincoln stated that she was crying hysterically due to a domestic dispute and wasn’t able to see, causing her to crash. Damage up to $25,000.
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:28 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, West CR 400N, near North CR 500W, Warsaw. Driver: William A. Moore, 19, West Monoquet Road, Warsaw. Moore’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
2:35 a.m. Saturday, March 31, West Harrison Street, west of South Main Street, Claypool. Driver: Robert A. Haines, 54, Bartol Drive, Warsaw. Haines’ vehicle slid in the mud while arriving to a medic assist call and struck a steel post. Damage up to $5,000.
4:19 p.m. Thursday, March 29, North CR 300W, north of West CR 500N, Warsaw. Driver: Jared J. Haughee, 32, North CR 300W, Warsaw. Haughee was traveling north on CR 300W when a turkey entered the roadway. Haughee’s vehicle struck the turkey. Damage up to $2,500.
11:18 a.m. Thursday, March 29, SR 15N, south of West CR 1150N, Milford. Driver: Andrew J. Eldridge, 27, West Harrison Street, Mentone. Eldridge was traveling south on SR 15 when he blacked out, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and collide into a State of Indiana sign. Damage up to $10,000.
4:31 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, North CR 700W, north of North CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Kyle T. Heckaman, 22, North CR 500W, Warsaw. Beckman was driving north on CR 700W when he fell asleep while driving and ran off the roadway, striking an REMC pole. Damage up to $10,000
12:29 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, North SR 13, south of EMS B20 Lane, North Webster. Drivers: Kent T. Mishler, 75, West CR 350 S-57, Pierceton, and Thomas S. Mollet, 70, Fullerton, Galesburg, Mich. Mishler was traveling south on SR 13 when he saw an accident ahead. He pulled off the roadway and started to back up his vehicle, striking Mollet’s vehicle in the process. Damage up to $2,500.
11:44 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, North SR 13, south of EMS B21 Lane, North Webster. Drivers: Casey N. Elliott, 24, East Hanna Street, Columbia City, Martin A. Landeros, 22, East Excalibur Plaza, Cromwell, and Donald T. Carey, 58, Leo Road, Fort Wayne. Carey’s vehicle was stopped for a flagman at a lane closure for construction. Elliott dropped a cigarette and reached down to pick it up. When she looked up, traffic was stopped. Elliott’s vehicle rear-ended Landeros’ vehicle. That collision pushed Landeros’ vehicle into the rear of Carey’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:18 p.m. Saturday, March 31, South Higbee Street, north of Turkey Creek Drive. Driver: Marisa V. Marquez, 21, Ravine Road, Goshen. Marquez was traveling north on South Higbee Street when her vehicle started to lose control. Her vehicle hit a guardrail. Damage up to $1,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:24 a.m. Sunday, April 1, South Huntington Street, south of West Pickwick. Drivers: Anna A. Engel, 78, Nagel Road, Defiance, OH, and Lori L. Coy, 60, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Engel was traveling south on Huntington Street when Coy’s vehicle slowed down to turn. Engel’s vehicle rear-ended Coy’s. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:41 p.m. Monday, April 2, US 30, east of East Old Road 30. Drivers: Blayne G. Himes, 19, South High Street, Warsaw, and Donald A. Phegley, 61, Waimano Home Road, Pearl City, HI. Himes was traveling west on US 30 when Phegley began to slow for traffic. Himes’ vehicle rear-ended Phegley’s. Damage up to $2,500.
