Lowe’s Sued For Damages After In Store Accident
WARSAW — Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC, Indianapolis, has been named in a complaint for damages and a demand for jury trial filed by Shelly Krueger. The complaint stems from a June 2016 accident inside Lowe’s store in Warsaw.
The court document states June 13, 2016, Krueger was in the store and while shopping a large board fell off a display rack and landed on her foot, causing serious bodily injury. The suit states Lowe’s owed her and all other “invitees” a duty to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition so invitees could safely shop, examine merchandise and safely navigate the property. A claim of negligence on the part of Lowe’s is noted.
Additionally, the document states Krueger’s injuries occurred as a direct and proximate result of the negligence and carelessness of Lowe’s and as such she has suffered, and will continue to suffer, damages which include but are not limited to: past and future pain and suffering, past and future medical bills, past and future economic loss and lost wages.
She is seeking a trial by jury, the cost of the action, full compensation for the injuries sustained and all other proper relief.
