Team Up To See What Makes You Wonderfully Made
SYRACUSE — Members of the Justice League are teaming up with princesses to support those diagnosed with a chromosome disorder or rare disease for the second annual Wonderfully Made event. Exciting games and prizes will help attendees learn the basics of cells, chromosomes and DNA as well as discovering all the things that make up each wonderfully made individual.
This year’s event will begin at 9 a.m. and go until noon Saturday, April 28, at the Syracuse Community Center, 1013 N. Long Drive. Registration will take place between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. A genetic counselor will speak to the group at 9:30 a.m. Fun and games will begin at 10 a.m. with a quick closing to the event at 11:45 a.m.
The cost for the event is $10 per child. Adults are simply asked for a donation that will help to sponsor the Turner Syndrome Society. If a family member has a diagnosis and needs a scholarship to attend, send a private message to Michiana’s Wonderfully Made Facebook page before Tuesday, April 17.
All other attendees are not required to pre-register but are asked to respond to the event on the Facebook page.
