UPDATE: Lutheran EMS/Milford Fire Responding To Injury Accident On SR 15
MILFORD — Only one injury was reported in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on SR 15, south of CR 900N. The accident was at 4:53 p.m.
According to police, Cassandra J. Fuller, 40, North Happiness Drive, Syracuse, suffered a fracture, dislocation of the hip/upper leg and was flown by Lutheran Air to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Fuller was a passenger in vehicle driven by Matthew R. Fuller, 39, North Happiness Drive, Syracuse. Matthew Fuller was not injured.
According to the accident report, Judy A. Sims, 66, North Creek Bend Lane, Milford, had stopped her 2005 Ford off the right side of SR 15. After waiting for two vehicles to pass, she then started pulling back onto SR 15 to continue northbound, when she pulled into the path of Matthew Fuller’s 2004 Chevrolet.
Matthew Fuller tried to swerve in an attempt to avoid hitting Sims’ vehicle but could not avoid the collision.
Sims and her passenger, John H. Heckaman, 44, North Creek Bend Lane, Milford, were treated at the scene by paramedics and released.
Damage to both vehicles was estimated up to $50,000.
Assisting at the scene were Milford Police, Milford Fire Department, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
