Nappanee Library Announces Upcoming Events
NAPPANEE — The Nappanee Public Library has announced activities for the week of April 23-27.
How Money Works — 6 to 7 p.m. April 23 (Adults only)
You are invited to attend a program called How Money Works, presented by Jacob Beer, independent representative of Primerica. This informative seminar will discuss the rule of 72, debt stacking, revolving debt traps and how your life insurance policy works. This program is a part of Money Smart Week. No registration necessary.
Game night — 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 23 (Teens and adults)
Local resident Dan Slaven will be hosting game night bi-weekly at NPL. Bring your own game or try a new one. There will be a featured game each month, such as Sushi Go, Mysterium, and Boss Monster. No registration necessary.
Excel class — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 24 (Adults only)
For patrons wanting to expand their Excel skills, the first class is $50 (includes workbook fee). Each additional class is $25. Patrons must pay a week in advance to hold their registration. Classes are taught by a certified instructor provided through MapleTronics. This week, learn about modifying and formatting a worksheet. Art in the Making — 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 24 (Ages 5-12)

Pushing the Limits: Legacy — 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 24 (Teens and adults)
Join us for a discussion of the book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” by J.D. Vance. The first 10 people to register get a free copy of the book. Register by April 17. Pushing the Limits is funded by a grant from Rural Gateways.
Preschool story time — 10 to 10:45 a.m. April 25 (Ages 3-5)
Counting, sorting, crafting and saving — join the library for a currency-themed preschool storytime with Maggie. Registration is requested, but not required. This program is a part of Money Smart Week.
Get organized — 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 25 (Adults only)
Participants will learn how to organize specific areas in their home and life, as well as learning the tips and tricks to contain the clutter. Each week has a theme. Retirement savings and income — 6 to 7 p.m. April 26 (Adults only)
David Kauffman, financial planner with Edward Jones, will present on retirement savings and income with a question and answer period afterward. This program is a part of Money Smart Week. No registration necessary.
