Warsaw Man Arrested For Domestic Battery To A Minor Female
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after a minor female stated he became angry and pushed her in the face.
Joseph Jessop Beer, 42, 3322 Oak Pointe Crossing, Warsaw, is being changes with domestic battery to a person less than 14 years of age, a level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On April 6, an officer responded to a domestic battery call at Beer’s residence. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with an adult female who advised she was arguing with Beer over the way he treated the minor female.
The officer spoke with the minor female who advised she was on her cell phone talking to a friend when Beer came into the room angry because she was on the phone. The minor attempted to keep Beer from taking her phone by placing it in her back pocket. According to the minor, when Beer was unable to get her phone, he “pushed her in the face with his open hand, hurting her cheeks.”
The officer then spoke with Beer. Without the officer asking him if he touched anyone, Beer stated he did not touch anyone.
Beer had an active arrest warrant at the time for failure to appear in Kosciusko County Superior Court II. Beer was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on April 6, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
