The Beaman Home To Host Sensory Day Event
WARSAW — The Beaman Home will host the first Sensory Day for children and families in the community.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, local agencies will be hosting a fun filled day for families with children in the 0 to 5 age range. The event will be held at Baker Youth Club, located at 1401 E. Smith St., Warsaw.
Families will be able to participate in making and exploring sensory activities. There is no cost to attend the event. Snacks will be provided and door prizes will be drawn.
The agencies involved are excited to teach families ways that they can engage their little ones in sensory play while getting to know the local providers who serve this age group.
April is both Autism Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month. The agencies putting together this event are excited to engage families in fun activities that everyone is sure to enjoy.
There have been many people and businesses involved in making this day a success. The Bowen Center, Systems of Care, Early Childhood Alliance, The Beaman Home, Department of Child Services, Warsaw Community Schools, Cardinal Center and others are joining together to make this a family focused and exciting day for anyone with young children in the home.
