Leesburg Oswego Alumni will hold its annual banquet Saturday, May 20, at the Leesburg Grace Brethren Church.

Social and visitation time with hors d’ oeuvres will begin at 4 p.m. and the catered dinner will follow at 5:30 p.m. All graduates, friends and anyone who attended Leesburg school at anytime are welcome to attend and are encouraged to bring memorabilia and photos to share with classmates. Postcards were recently mailed and anyone who didn’t get a card is reminded to make sure the committee has their current address.

Entertainment will be provided by the Warsaw Community High School Select Chorale. The church is located at 101 W. School St. in Leesburg. Graduating classes of 1943, 1948, 1963 and 1953 and will be honored. Letters of high school memories to classmates would be appreciated and alumni are asked to mail those items if they cannot attend.

Reservations and donations may be made by sending a check for $15 per person to Mary Ellen Redman at 4860 N. CR 175E, Leesburg, IN 46538 by May 7. Valet parking will be available.

The organization was formed to celebrate the first graduating class from Oswego in 1890 and continued through 1914, then from Leesburg beginning in 1916. The last graduating class from Leesburg was in 1966, when Leesburg consolidated with the Warsaw Community School Corporation.
