Boys Golf

The Wawasee boys golf team got off to a good start in league play.

The Warriors outshot host Northridge 173-183 in their Northern Lakes Conference opener.

Zach Leedy fired a 35 to claim medalist honors as Wawasee bested the host Raiders in league action at Meadow Valley in Middlebury.

The duo of Evan Dippon and Dillon Drake each shot a 44 for the Warriors. Jared Krugman and Luke Weisser each had a 50 for Wawasee.

“A great round by Zach tonight,” said Wawasee coach Steve Coverstone. “Evan and Dillon both played solid. Always good to get a win on the road in the NLC.”

The Wawasee junior varsity topped the Raiders 183-197. Tyler Bosstick led the way with a 42.

Wawasee faces Concord and Elkhart Memorial in NLC action at Bent Oak Thursday night.

JV Softball

The Wawasee junior varsity softball team lost 10-0 to Fairfield.

The JV Warriors, who are 7-6, will play at Northridge Wednesday evening.
