Tippecanoe Valley Names Top Seniors
AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley High School has announced its top two students for the graduating class of 2018.
Cheyene Oldfather was named valedictorian at TVHS. She is the daughter of Beth Oldfather of Rochester and plans to attend Florida State University to major in chemistry and pursue a career in medicine.
Dakota Parker was named salutatorian and is the son of Joshua and Lichelle Parker of Silver Lake. He plans to attend Purdue University to major and pursue a career in engineering.
The last day of school for TVHS seniors is May 25 and the students in that class will enjoy a senior breakfast at 7:15 a.m. in the commons, an awards program in the main gymnasium at 8:30 a.m. and graduation rehearsal at 9:30 a.m.
Graduation at TVHS is scheduled for June 3 with doors opening next to the student parking lot at 1 p.m., followed by the Baccalaureate at 2 p.m. and the ceremony at 2:45 a.m.
The class flower is the rose, the class motto is “We might not have it all together, but together we have it all” and the class colors are the same as the school — green and gold.
