Etna Township First Responders Donation Drive Begins
ETNA GREEN — Like many volunteer departments across the state, members of the Etna Township First Responders have to be both first responders and fundraisers so their department can have money to buy new equipment to meet always changing safety standards.
Beginning the first week of June, department representatives will be going door to door asking for a donation of $20 or more. Each donor will receive a coupon for a free family portrait taken by a professional photographer at the station. The money from the donations will go to purchasing equipment needed to update and improve our service to the community.
According to the Volunteer Firefighters Association, fundraisers are now more visible than ever before because the fundraisers are one way that the department can bring in additional revenue. The members of the Etna Township First Responders would like to thank all area residents for their continued support.
