Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

5:11 p.m. Thursday, June 21, North Harrison Street, north of East Main Street, Atwood. Driver: Alex M. Jimenez, 27, Pennsylvania Avenue, Plymouth. While responding to a welfare check, a medic unit driven by Jimenez turned into the side of an unoccupied, parked police unit. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:22 p.m. Thursday, June 21, East Market Street, east of Funk Street. Drivers: Steven R. Lockridge, 53, East Market Street, Warsaw; and Latosha L. Douglas, 43, East Center Street A, Warsaw. Lockridge was backing from a private drive onto East Market Street and didn’t notice Douglas’ approaching vehicle. Douglas’ vehicle impacted Lockridge’s vehicle in the right side. Damage up to $10,000.

1:29 p.m. Thursday, June 21, East Market Street, north of South Maple Avenue. Drivers: John R. Hinderliter, 61, East Forest Glen Avenue, Leesburg; and Daren G. Blasius, Curdes Avenue, Fort Wayne. Hinderliter was traveling north on Maple Avenue when he stopped to check for east or west traffic on Market Street. As he entered the intersection, he struck Blasius’ vehicle in the driver’s side. Damage up to $10,000.
