Warsaw

Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

7:16 p.m. Friday, June 22, SR 15, north of East Canal Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Nathan B. McClarren, 27, 12th Road, Plymouth; and Jaylene Blankenship, 43, SR 15, Claypool. McClarren advised he was traveling southbound on SR 15 in the area of the Biblical Gardens in the right travel lane. He observed a group of individuals on the sidewalk near the roadway so he began to merge to the left travel lane. McClarren’s vehicle collided with Blankenship’s vehicle, which he stated was in his blind spot. Damage up to $5,000. 

10:43 a.m. Friday, June 22, North SR 15, south of East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Natalie M. Gorsuch, 31, North CR 200W, Warsaw; and Dannie K. Davis, 65, South McClellan Street, Warsaw. Gorsuch told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on North Detroit Street when her children in the back seat popped a balloon, distracting her from noticing that Davis’ vehicle had stopped ahead of her. Damage up to $10,000.
