Railroad Update — All Downtown Warsaw Crossings Will Be Closed Tuesday
WARSAW — All crossings in downtown Warsaw will be closed for six or more hours tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26.
Norfolk Southern expects its rail gang to install new rail from Pope Street through Arthur Street tomorrow. Crossings will be closed for six or more hours and all of these downtown crossings may be closed at one time. An exact closure time is unknown and will depend on train traffic.
Hickory Street will be closed to traffic for approximately 2 weeks. Some crossings along Hickory Street may also be closed for an additional length of time, including Market, Main and Center streets. Crossings will be opened, as feasible, but may initially just be temporarily patched.
Motorists are strongly encouraged to be patient, plan extra travel time and use US 30 to cross town.
CR 300S is currently being paved. Dogwood Lane will be paved this evening, June 25. CR 200S and Ranch Road will be paved Tuesday morning.
