The Watershed Foundation Thanks Community And Clearwater Car Wash
KOSCIUSKO — Water is the backbone of our community: fueling the local economy, presenting recreational opportunities, and nourishing agricultural production among many other things. Recently, The Watershed Foundation worked with community and agricultural partners to conduct surveys to help guide future water resource projects and find ways to engage residents in the Warsaw and Winona Lake area.
The Watershed Foundation takes action for healthy lakes in our community with a focus and dedication to implementing solutions to water pollution, engaging youth and adults, and uniting partners across our watershed.
Two different surveys were available: one focused on agricultural and the other applied to residential practices. Both aimed at learning how best to reach out to the community and focused on how local quality of life, recreation, wildlife and public health are all linked to water management strategies.
After completing the survey, participants received a discount voucher from Clearwater Car Wash. Almost 500 car wash coupons were awarded thanks to the generous support of Clearwater Car Wash.
Residential survey participants were placed in a drawing for a 30-day or 90-day Platinum car wash. The winners of this competition were Jim Vosberg and Linda Davis.
Agricultural survey participants were entered into a drawing for gift certificates to Noa Noa Wood Grill & Sushi Bar. Winners include Lora Swanson, Doug Shock, Robert Bishop and Roger Studebaker.
TWF thanks Clearwater Car Wash, as well as all residential and agricultural participants for taking action to make a difference for clean water in the Warsaw/Winona Lake community.
