Lakeland Art Association Hosts Timothy Tyree Exhibit
KOSCIUSKO — Lakeland Art Association is pleased to be hosting an exhibit of Timothy Tyree’s work this July.
The gallery is located at 302 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Normal business hours are 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The exhibit will open on July 5, with an artist reception to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 8. The reception gives the public a chance to meet with the artist in person and discuss his work. Admission to the gallery is always free and open to the public.
Tyree is an Ohio artist, educated at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, as well as Canbourne University in London. Tyree has shown work regularly since 2006 in many galleries in Ohio and Indiana. His work has been receiving recognition and awards since 1988.
Tyree’s modern artwork spans a variety of media and includes both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work. The pieces come alive with vibrant color and texture. Tyree uses his artwork as a way to express his thoughts and feelings on current events and the world around him.
“Inspiration is a state of being,” said Tyree. “Appropriating our global culture of past, present, and pretend, my integrated art style serves up vignettes of life’s fleeting moments that would otherwise pass us by. I absolutely thrive on a roving aesthetic and its constant spark of re-invention.”
