North Webster Man Arrested After Stealing Lawn Mower
KOSCIUSKO — A North Webster man was arrested after stealing a lawn mower.
Dwayne Allen Cooper, Jr., 32, 411 S. East St., North Webster, is being charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On May 26, officers spoke with a male subject who reported that his lawn mower was stolen.
On May 31, a second male subject told officers that he had been allowing Cooper to stay at his residence. Cooper had given the subject a lawn mower in exchange for staying at the residence, but later threatened the male in order to get the lawn mower back. The subject stated that Cooper told him a friend had given him the lawn mower.
Officers told the subject that the lawn mower was reported stolen. On June 1, officers retrieved the lawn mower.
Cooper was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on June 26, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
