Large Trucks Draw A Large Crowd To Warsaw’s First Friday
WARSAW — Metzger Trucking hosted a truck show for Warsaw’s First Friday event tonight, July 6. A large crowd filled the streets as they viewed trucks ranging from semis to garbage trucks.
Representatives of Metzger Trucking said that over 70 trucks and 50 vendors came out to make the night a success. The attendance surpassed expectations as 30 trucks pre-registered and Metzger Trucking expected around 60 trucks for the final tally.
Registration fees and free-will donations were collected throughout the evening. All of the money collected, in addition to funds from sponsors, went towards Claypool Elementary’s Boomerang Backpack program, Warsaw Little League and K21 Cancer Care Fund.
Truck show sponsors included Crouse Body Shop, Ferguson Farms, Ft. Wayne Auto Truck Auction, Monteith Tire, Northern Gases, Palmer Trucks of Ft. Wayne, Stafford Solid Waste, TranZstar, Inc., Warsaw Buick GMC and Toyota of Warsaw.
Other entertainment at the event included Hoplore’s beer tent and the kid’s zone sponsored by Crossroads Community Church.
