ATWOOD — An Atwood man who fled from police officers earlier this month is now facing multiple charges.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 2, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a Mitsubishi being driven by Miller in the area of Anchorage Road and Sunset Drive in Warsaw. The officer had prior knowledge that Miller’s Indiana driver’s license was suspended and that there was a current warrant for his arrest in Kosciusko County.
Miller reportedly spotted and attempted to elude the officer. The officer located the parked vehicle and saw two male subjects run toward Monteith Tire. Officers entered the warehouse at Monteith Tire and apprehended Miller. The other male subject was not located.
Officers searched the area where Miller was located and found a plastic container. Inside the container were four plastic bags. Each bag contained .5 grams of a white, crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers also found a key that fit the Mitsubishi vehicle.
Inside the Mitsubishi, officers found the tops of syringes in plain view. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a bag that contained six syringes, with two of the syringes containing a liquid that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, and a cellophane wrapper that contained a crystal substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 14 grams. Officers also found a brown, rock-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 1.5 grams, a black LG cellular phone with a picture of Miller on the screen, a loaded 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seven AR 15 clips, empty plastic bags and digital scales containing a powder substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
