Creighton Paintings Juried Into Annual Hoosier Salon And National Exhibitions
KOSCIUSKO — Local artist Steve Creighton has been notified that his still life painting Arrangement with Blue Vase has been juried into the 94th Annual Hoosier Salon exhibition. This is the third straight year that Creighton’s work has been accepted into the Hoosier Salon Exhibit. The exhibition will be on display at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis from Aug. 3 through Oct. 14. Awards will be presented at the preview event on the evening of Aug. 2.
In addition, Creighton’s still life Blue and Orange was juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society’s 2018 Best of America Small Painting National Exhibition at the Richland Fine Art Gallery in Nashville, Tenn. It was exhibited from April 30 through May 26.
His oil painting Still Life with Gonder Vase was juried into the 2018 Oil Painters of America’s 27th Annual National Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils and is currently on display at the Steamboat Art Museum in Steamboat Springs, Colo. through Sept. 3.
The artist’s still life painting Tres Rojos was juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society’s 2018 Best of America National Exhibition and will be displayed at the Eisele Gallery of Fine Art in Cincinnati from Sept. 14th through Oct. 13. This painting was one of 130 paintings selected from over 900 entries.
Creighton creates still life and landscape paintings in oil in his studio in Warsaw. He studied art at Valparaiso and Indiana Universities. He is a member of Hoosier Salon, Oil Painters of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, American Impressionist Society, Inc. and Fort Wayne Art Guild.
