Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
7:44 a.m. Thursday, July 12, East Adams Road, west of EMS R3E Lane, Pierceton. Driver: William W. Miller, 36, EMS R3E Lane, Pierceton. Miller was traveling east on Adams Road when he fell asleep and drove off the roadway. His vehicle rolled over and came to rest on the passenger side. Miller complained of right ankle pain and was transported by ambulance to Parkview Warsaw. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:10 p.m. Thursday, July 12, North Parker Street, near East US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Spenser A. Holderman, 30, East Smith Street, Warsaw; and John A. Nudo, 57, Tomahawk Trail, Plymouth. Holderman was traveling north on North Parker Street approaching an intersection when he rear-ended Nudo’s vehicle. A passenger in Nudo’s vehicle, Lori A. Nudo, 53, Plymouth, complained of pain in her neck and was evaluated and released on scene. Damage up to $5,000.
12:52 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 504 North Bay Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Heather L. Starr, Frazier Street B, Warsaw. Starr came out to her parked vehicle to find that it had been damaged while it was in a parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.
11:19 a.m. Thursday, July 12, North Buffalo Street, north of West Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jazmin A. Hidalgo, 15, Salman Drive, Warsaw; and Andrea L. Reed, 30, West Wildwood Trail, Warsaw. Reed was pulling forward in a parking space when she struck Hidalgo’s vehicle. Hidalgo was traveling south on North Buffalo Street when Reed’s vehicle struck the right side of Hidalgo’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
2:16 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 1900 East Winona Ave., Warsaw. Drivers: Rebecca J. Grill, 71, West Canal Street, Winona Lake; and Julia B. Hildebrand, 17, Trailside Drive, Winona Lake. Hildebrand was turning left into a parking space when Grill’s vehicle backed out of a parking space at the same time. Both vehicles collided, causing damage to both vehicles. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:46 p.m. Thursday, July 12, Sunset Drive, west of CR 250E, Winona Lake. Driver: Lynn S. Howie, 68, Robson Road, Winona Lake. Howie was traveling east on Sunset Drive when the sun began to blind her. As she reached over to the passenger seat to get a pair of sunglasses, she crashed into a parked, unoccupied vehicle that was along the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
