Third Annual Car Show Fundraiser Hosted By Oakwood Resort
SYRACUSE — Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence winner Oakwood Resort announced their third annual car show will be hosted on the beautiful grounds of the 27 acre resort from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
In conjunction with the Syracuse-Wawasee Park Foundation, the event will serve as a fundraiser to continue the walking trails around Lake Wawasee, Indiana’s largest natural lake.
Local food trucks will be on-site for the duration of the event so spectators can enjoy fun food items as they stroll through the cars in attendance. Those interested in participating in this public event may register at Oakwood resort on the day of the event beginning at 9:30 a.m. at a cost of $25 per car. Judging for the show will take place from 2 until 2:30 p.m., and there will be three categories judged at the car show. The categories include current classic, future classic and people’s choice. Local car enthusiasts will serve as judges for this show.
“We’re so excited to host our third annual car show that’s open to all ages,” said General Manager Tamra Henry. “There is no charge to attend and guests can enjoy dining from local food trucks, viewing all the beautiful cars and talking about their history. We’re certain this will be a wonderful event for guests of all ages and we’re thrilled to provide live musical entertainment by Dan Lopez.”
