Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, West US 30, north of North CR 750W, Atwood. Drivers: Yvonne D. Cook, 51, West Lovetts Court, Warsaw; and Marion A. Sult, 54, Woodies Lane, Bremen. Cook stated she was southbound on CR 750W and was on her cellphone. She advised she was not paying attention to the vehicles on US 30 and that her vehicle was T-boned on the passenger side. Sult advised she was eastbound on US 30 when she observed a vehicle southbound on CR 750W pull out in front of her. Sult stated she attempted to avoid impact, but her vehicle struck the other vehicle on the passenger side door. Sult stated her neck and arm hurt and requested an ambulance. She was checked out and released by EMTs and advised to follow up with her family doctor. Damages up to $25,000.
6:08 p.m. Monday, July 16, West CR 200S and South CR 800W, Mentone. Drivers: Brittany A. Wilhite, 18, North CR 775E, Rochester; and Melissa K. Lewis, 42, South CR 900W, Mentone. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Wilhite was treated at the scene by Mentone EMS. Lewis was transported to Parkview Warsaw by Mentone EMS. A telephone junction/service box on the southwest side of the intersections also damaged as a result of the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
2:03 p.m. Sunday, July 15, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Cynthia K. Sells, 51, West 8th Street, Rochester. Sells reported she was pulling into a parking spot when her vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
