BREAKING — Two Airlifted After Vehicle Accident On US 30

Two were flown from a vehicle accident Saturday, Aug. 11.
WARSAW — Two people were transported by helicopter after a two vehicle accident on US 30.
At approximately 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, firefighters with the Atwood Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident involving two pickup trucks on the westbound lanes of US 30, near CR 500W.
According to dispatch, a subject had to be extricated from one of the vehicles. Traffic in both westbound and eastbound lanes on US 30 came to a stop while the helicopters landed on the roadway to transport the two injured to Fort Wayne.
A female subject was flown by Lutheran Air III, while a male was flown by Parkview Samaritan.
Etna Green Fire Department, Winona Lake Fire Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS Kosciusko, Lutheran Air III, and Parkview Samaritan responded to the scene.
No further information is available at this time.
