Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:38 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, East CR 100S, Warsaw. Driver: Sam Bohnke, 30, West Main Street, Mentone. Bohnke told police he had parked his vehicle and when he returned, the vehicle had rolled into another parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
4:53 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, West CR 1350N, west of North CR 500W, Nappanee. Driver: McKenzie M. Uebler, 18, North CR 700W, Nappanee. Uebler told police she was driving her vehicle on CR 1350N, when her vehicle struck loose gravel, causing her to lose control. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a road sign before ending up in a cornfield. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:22 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, US 30 and Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Korey M. Harshaw, 27, West Winona Ave., Warsaw; Jerry L. Millington, 80, South CR 675 W, Warsaw. Harshaw told police he was driving his vehicle and hurrying to cross US 30 when his vehicle was struck by Millington’s vehicle. Police said Millington had the right of way. Damage up to $5,000.
9:14 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Theodore W. Martin, 59, Jefferson Avenue, LaPorte. Martin told police he was turning left into a parking lot and made contact with guide wires with his vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
8:49 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, SR 15 and Pope Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Alton B. Hunter, 34, North CR 900W, Cromwell; Jerry W. Schuh, 62, Dogwood Drive, Warsaw. Hunter told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on South Detroit Street and looked away briefly before rear-ending Schuh’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Marshall
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
9:57 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 14600 block SR 110 west of Olive Road, Culver. Drivers: Timothy B. Liddell, Nappanee; Dustin M. Andrews, Culver; and Daniel Funk, Rochester. Injured: Liddel was taken to Memorial Hospital. Andrews and a passenger Amy Andrews were flown from the scene with unknown injuries. Liddel swerved to miss a deer, lost control of his vehicle hitting a guardrail, blocking the westbound lane. Andrews’ vehicle struck the Liddell vehicle causing both Liddell’s vehicle and the Andrews vehicle to hit the Funk vehicle, which was stopped. The accident is still under investigation.
