NORTHWOOD 175, PENN 194, LAPORTE 266
NorthWood’s girls golf team finished up their fifth straight nine-hole season with victories over both Penn and LaPorte in the Lady Panthers’ regular season-closer Wednesday evening.

Cybil Stillson shot 41, and MacKenzie Weaver carded 42 to lead the 12th-ranked Panthers. Abby Slabaugh and Delaney Davis both shot 46, and Kirsten Schrock’s 48 was the team’s throw-away score at Beechwood.

Penn’s Lyvia Li posted 40 for the meet low medal. Meghan Mounts shot 48, Ryen Detoro carded 52, and Kate Burnett shot 54 for the Kingsmen. Hannah Urbanksi’s 65 was the team’s fifth score.

Madeline Fleshman’s 53 paced LaPorte. Gabby Hull shot 58, Marely Shable and Bella Shreeg turned in respective scores of 77 and 78, and Majorie Romhhilt finished in 84 for the home team.

NorthWood’s junior varsity also got a win with a 196 to LaPorte’s 282.

Makenna Gall and Breanna Goss both shot 48, and Kylee Gall and Abigail Richner both shot 50 for the 11-0 JV Panthers as they finished only two strokes back of Penn’s varsity.

NorthWood plays at the Warsaw Sectional Saturday at Stonehenge beginning at 9 a.m.

PLYMOUTH 204, TRITON 219
Triton closed the regular season with a dual meet with Plymouth Wednesday at Stonehenge.

Samantha Edington fired a 51 to lead the Lady Trojans out of the fourth grouping. Maddie Ritchison was close behind with a 52. Alysha May shot 56, and Delanie Groves carded 60.

Plymouth was led by Brittney Klotz’s 42, followed by Annastasia Hutchings’ 48. Olivia Waymouth turned in a 51, and Brenna Large shot 63 for the Lady Pilgrims.

Both teams return to action at Saturday’s Warsaw Sectional at Stonehenge.
