Warsaw Municipal Airport Receives Federal Aviation Funds
WARSAW — Dozens of Indiana airports, including Warsaw Municipal Airport, have received millions in Federal Aviation Administration grants for various improvement projects. The FAA awarded $586 million in infrastructure grants, included in the $3.18 billion Airport Improvement Program.
Warsaw Municipal Airport was awarded $144,000 for runway rehabilitation.
U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao says this round of funding includes 217 grants to 181 airports across the country.
“These airport investments will create jobs in local communities, upgrade reliability, and further improve safety of air travel for the flying public,” said Chao.
