Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:41 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, North SR 15 and West CR 1350N, Milford. Drivers: Rhonda L. Sturgil Bailey, 47, South Forest Lane, Syracuse; Kevin S. Walker, 55, East Beer Road, Milford; Jennifer L. Guard, 39, Blackstone Court, Nappanee. Police said Sturgil Bailey was driving her vehicle eastbound on CR 1350N and was stopped at the intersection with SR 15. She told police she did not see the vehicle driven by Walker, which was traveling northbound on SR 15 and that she proceeded into the intersection, causing Walker’s vehicle to strike her vehicle on the passenger’s side. Sturgil Bailey’s vehicle continued on and struck a guard rail and Walker’s vehicle continued on struck Guard’s vehicle. Sturgil Bailey complained of arm and chest pain and was transported to Goshen General Hospital for treatment. Damage up to $50,000.
5:44 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, North CR 100E and East CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Sandra L. Brill, 57, EMS B40A Lane, Leesburg; Regina L. Gates, 48, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Brill told police she was driving her vehicle southbound on CR 100E and approached an intersection and could not stop her vehicle before it collided with the rear of Gates’ vehicle. Brill was contacted by police on the phone because she told Gates she did not have time to stay for law enforcement and left the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
11:17 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: James L. Slabaugh, 39, Syracuse Webster Road, Syracuse. Slabaugh told police he was backing his vehicle up in a private drive and struck a parked vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
