Boys Soccer Results: Sept. 13
TIPPECANOE VALLEY 4, PERU 1
It was a night of firsts for the Tippecanoe Valley boys soccer team.
In its win against visiting Peru, the Vikings picked up its first win of the season. In that, head coach Andrew Luce got his first win manning the Tippy sidelines. And both Kaitlin Neese and Jacob Bailey both scored their first high school soccer goals.
Valley, which hadn’t scored three goals in a game in its first nine games, scored three in the first half. Harrison Vining notched the first two, followed by the Neese goal. Bailey scored his off a counter midway through the second half.
Valley (1-9, 1-5 TRC) will get some time off before heading to Whitko next Wednesday.
GOSHEN 5, NORTHWOOD 0
The struggles in the Northern Lakes Conference for the Panthers in yet another lopsided conference loss.
Goshen had Ciro Aguilar score twice, Fernando Quevedo notch a goal and an assist, and Saulo Luna and Ricardo Garcia each found the net once.
NorthWood, which have been outscored 16-0 in its four NLC losses, has won just two matches since Aug. 18, one of which a 4-2 win at Wawasee for its lone NLC win.
NorthWood (4-5-1, 1-4 NLC) will host Elkhart Christian Monday.
