Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:34 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, North CR 300E and East CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: Bryan D. Williams, 18, Creekwood Lane, Carmel. Williams stated he was turning north on CR 300E when another vehicle with no headlights going south on CR 300E sideswiped his vehicle. Williams advised the other vehicle continued south on CR 300E and did not return. Damage up to $1,000.
12:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, East CR 450N and North CR 375E, Warsaw. Drivers: Dakota R. Harris, 18, East Marion Street, Waterloo; and Carl D. Spaulding, 63, North East Street, Morenci, Mich. Harris stated he was not familiar with the road and thought the intersection was a 4-way stop. Harris turned left, into the path of Spaulding’s vehicle, resulting in a collision. Damage up to $10,000.
10:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept.15, South Packerton Road and East CR 900S, Sidney. Drivers: Joseph M. Eastgate, 39, West Division Road, Pierceton; and Beth M. Ramsey, 57, Jackson Boulevard, Rochester. Eastgate did not see Ramsey’s vehicle approaching the intersection due to tall corn partially blocking the view from both directions. Eastgate pulled into the path of Ramsey’s vehicle, resulting in a collision. Damage up to $50,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents;
5:12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, US 30, west of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Christina M. Baughman, 22, North Sixth Street, Pierceton; and David L. Schmidt, 48, South CR 775E, Pierceton. Baughman’s vehicle rear-ended Schmidt’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
10:54 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, North Warren Street, Warsaw. Driver: Danielle M. Randall, 31, Maye Street, Warsaw. Randall stated she was backing out of a parking space and did not see the parked, unoccupied vehicle behind her. The hitch footstep accessory on Randall’s vehicle struck the parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
