Nappanee Library Announces Week’s Activities
NAPPANEE — The Nappanee Public Library has announced the following events for Sept. 24-30.
Art in the Making — Sept. 25, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (ages 5-12)
Kids are invited to dress for a mess. Interested persons can join the library to create non-traditional kitchen table art and paint splatter works of art. Register by calling (574) 773-7919 or visit nappaneelibrary.org.
Pushing The Limits: Robotics — Sept. 25, 7 to 8:30 p.m. (teens and adults)
Patrons can join the library for a discussion of the book, “Spare Parts,” by Joshua Davis. The first 10 people to register will receive a free copy of the book. Pushing the Limits combines fiction and nonfiction books, author videos, and discussions to explore how humans push their own limits every day. Pushing the Limits is funded by a grant from Rural Gateways.
Preschool Story Time — Sept. 26, 10 to 10:45 a.m. (ages 3-5)
Children, accompanied by an adult, are invited to have fun with engaging books, songs and activities as they build early literacy skills in a positive social environment. This week will focus on Autumn. Register by calling (574) 773-7919 or by visiting nappaneelibrary.org.
Pokemon Club — Sept. 27, 4 to 5 p.m. (ages eight and older)
In its inaugural meeting, the club is available for patrons interested in Pokémon Go or trading, battling, and discussing all things Pokémon. Snacks and crafts will be available while a Pokémon movie plays on the big screen. No registration necessary.
