North Webster Man Arrested For Criminal Mischief To A Field
KOSCIUSKO — A North Webster man was arrested after driving his vehicle through a field.
Dustin Jeremiah Sieglinger, 35, 81 EMS W30 Lane, North Webster, is being charged with criminal mischief, a level 6 felony; and failure to stop after a vehicle accident, a class B misdemeanor.
On Sept. 3, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle sitting in a roadway.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers determined the vehicle, operated by Sieglinger, had been driven through a field belonging to Lakeview Farms. This caused approximately $750 of damage to crops. The vehicle also ran into two trees.
Sieglinger told officers four different stories about him driving the vehicle but denied driving it through the field.
He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 21, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
