UPDATE — WPD Officer And Suspect Involved In Shooting Identified, Officer On Paid Leave
WARSAW — The Indiana State Police continue to investigate the officer involved shooting that occurred in Warsaw last night. The officer has been identified as Officer Daniel Clemens.
Clemens has been a member of the Warsaw Police Department since December of 2017. Clemens is currently on paid administrative leave per the policy of the Warsaw Police Department. At the conclusion of the Indiana State Police investigation, all findings will be turned over to the Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
Kyle Miller, 31, Warsaw, has been named as the person shot in the arm following a struggle with a Clemens last night. Miller has been preliminarily charged with resisting law enforcement and was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.
