McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Donates To God’s Highway To Heaven Food Pantry
KOSCIUSKO — As part of an ongoing annual mission project, McHatton-Sadler recently donated $1,000 to God’s Highway to Heaven food pantry in recognition of Hunger Action Month and the upcoming needs for the Holiday Seasons.
The donation will help to purchase over 5,500 pounds of food for distribution according to Judy Pennington, director. Through various local churches and social service agencies, the pantry distributed food to approximately 1,800 individuals in 2017 and to date in 2018 approximately 1,200 individuals with needs coming for the holidays.
With 40 years of service to the community, the pantry is open for walk-ins the fourth Tuesday of every month and responds to emergency calls daily.
“Our staff at McHatton-Sadler have supported the pantry for well over two decades and have always held the truth that It is more blessed to give than receive in service to your fellow man,” said Derek Sadler, vice-president.
