Treasures For Troops Holds Eighth Annual Operation Treat A Soldier
KOSCIUSKO — Treasures for Troops, a soldier support ministry through the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, is conducting the eighth annual “Operation TREAT a Soldier.”
In 2017, the project collected 415 bags that were deployed to service members. These bags are sent to eight different groups in four countries.
“We are so blessed to get to do this,” said Susan Manns, Treasures for Troops. “This is such a fun and easy way for those in our community to get involved. We thank the community for all of the help. We do this for them, not for us.”
Once again, the public is giving everyone the opportunity to fill a treat bag for a deployed service member currently serving overseas. Anyone wishing to participate can pick up a treat bag with the instructions inside at the following area businesses: Warsaw Community Public Library, Kauffman Medi Spa, Lake City Bank in Silver Lake and Family Dollar in Silver Lake. Bags are available for pick-up and must be filled, per the instructions inside the bag, and returned by Friday, Oct. 5.
For complete details, see the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/treasuresfortroops or call (260) 352-2678. Any church group or club needing multiple bags to fill can also contact this number. Don’t miss your chance to let our troops know they are being remembered during this autumn season.
