Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
2:58 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, North SR 13, near Executive Boulevard, Syracuse. Driver: Amanda S. Gawthrop, 27, East Boydston Mill Drive, North Webster. Gawthrop was traveling south on SR 13 when her vehicle left the roadway, colliding with an embankment. Gawthrop complained of hip pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $5,000.
12:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, Chapman Lake Drive, north of EMS C10 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Austin L. McQuiller, 24, East CR 300N, Warsaw. McQuiller was traveling north on Chapman Lake Drive when he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle drove off the roadway to the left and went into a lake ditch. McQuiller was located just north of the crash scene with wet clothes, walking away from the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
10:14 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, East Armstrong Road, east of EMS T25 Lane, Oswego. Driver: Patrick L. Sibert, 60, East CR 500N, North Webster. Sibert was traveling east on East Armstrong Road when the vehicle in front of him ran over a deer. Sibert’s vehicle also struck the deer. Damage up to $5,000.
2:57 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, North CR 100E, east of East CR 250N, Warsaw. Drivers: Shannon L. Stover, 44, North Warsaw Oswego Road, Warsaw; and Vanny-Skeet Rom, 17, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Stover was was stopped on East CR 250N waiting to turn left when she pulled out in front of Rom’s vehicle. Rom’s vehicle came to a rest in a corn field owned by Fahl Family Farms. Damage up to $10,000.
4:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, South SR 19, west of South Franklin Street, Mentone. Driver: Stacie A. Gibbs, 40, West CR 700S, Mentone. Gibbs was traveling north on South Franklin Street when she attempted to turn left onto an access road. She was north of the access road she attempted to turn on, causing her vehicle to drive onto a railroad before coming to a rest and becoming stuck. Damage up to $10,000.
4:03 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, West CR 1350N, near North CR 1100W, Nappanee. Drivers: Levi T. Plank, 20, Cedar Road, Bremen; and Jennifer D. Kemp, 18, 12B Road, Bourbon. Both drivers were stopped at an intersection when Plank’s vehicle proceeded into the intersection while Kemp was making a left hand turn. Plank’s vehicle struck Kemp’s. Damage up to $5,000.
1:03 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, South SR 19, north of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Andrew M. Lowe, 32, South Franklin Street, Mentone. Lowe was traveling south on SR 19 when a deer entered the roadway. A passenger in Lowe’s vehicle, Madison R. Poe, 12, Mentone, complained of ankle pain. Lowe stated they would go to a doctor at a later time. Damage up to $10,000.
12:02 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, South CR 400E, near East CR 450S, Warsaw. Driver: Benny W. Long, 42, East CR 600S, Warsaw. Long was traveling south on CR 400E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
4:41 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, East CR 200N, north of North CR 175E, Warsaw. Driver: Anthony J. Hicks, 19, East CR 300N, Warsaw. Hicks was traveling north on CR 175E when his vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
8:44 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, CR 500N, west of North SR 13, Leesburg. Drivers: Kenneth Caudill, 62, South SR 13, Pierceton; and Gideon A. McKenzie, 17, SR 13, Syracuse. Caudill was traveling west on CR 500N when he is vehicle crossed the center line, sideswiping McKenzie’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:07 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, East CR 500N, east of North CR 700E, North Webster. Driver: John L. Simmons, 44, EMS T7 Lane, Leesburg. Simmons was traveling west on East CR 500N when a deer crossed the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 1200 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer S. Lawburgh, 63, East Stalf Road, Columbia City; and Catie L. Vargas, 34, East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Both Lawburgh and Vargas were backing their vehicles from a parking space when they collided. Damage up to $1,000.
1:08 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, East Center Street, west of North Lincoln Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Mysti M. Westafer, 38, West 3rd Street, North Manchester; and Matthew G. Harkenrider, 38, Meadow Lane, Warsaw. Westafer was entering an intersection when she struck Harkenrider’s vehicle. A passenger in Harkenrider’s vehicle, Beth N. Harkenrider, 42, Warsaw, complained of neck, right arm and right leg pain and was transported by EMS to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further medical evaluation. Damage up to $25,000.
9:46 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 1150 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Yvonne Avila, 17, Canterbury Lane, Warsaw. Avila was attempted to park her vehicle when she struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
8:43 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, West Prairie Street, east of South Columbia Street, Warsaw. Driver: Janice A. Owens, 81, South Union Street, Warsaw. Owens was traveling east on West Prairie Street when she struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
10:12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, Jalynn Street, near Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Pablo A. Cisneros, 20, South CR 500W, Silver Lake; and Maudie G. Bowen, 43, South CR 325E, Warsaw. Cisneros was traveling south on Walton Boulevard when he made a left turn and pulled out in front of Bowen’s vehicle. A passenger in Bowen’s vehicle, Ryleigh Bowen, 9, Warsaw, complained of face pain and was checked out by EMS. Damage up to $5,000.
