Grace College To Host Well-Known Speakers, Day Of Worship
WINONA LAKE — Grace College is proud to welcome several notable speakers to its campus this month, including Dr. Lydia Dugdale, Dan Allen and Kondo Simfukwe.
The community is also invited to participate in Day of Worship on Nov. 1.
All Grace College chapels are free and open to the public. They take place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. in the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center, 610 Wooster Road, Winona Lake.
Dr. Lydia Dugdale will speak in chapel on Thursday, Oct. 18. Dr. Dugdale is an assistant professor of medicine at Yale University. She teaches ethics and clinical medicine, focusing on biomedical ethics and end-of-life care. She is the editor of the book “Dying in the Twenty-First Century: Toward A New Ethical Framework For The Art of Dying Well.”
Pastor Dan Allen will speak on Friday, Oct. 19. Allen is the senior pastor of Ashland Grace Church in Ashland, OH, and a member of the Grace College and Seminary Board of Trustees.
Pastor Kondo Simfukwe will speak on Friday, Oct. 26. Simfukwe is the lead pastor of Mission Point Community Church in Warsaw.
The community is also welcomed to attend Grace’s fall Day of Worship on Thursday, Nov. 1. Dean of Chapel Brent Mencarelli said the focus this year will be “on reaching the nations by using our strengths, talents, and passions that the Lord has given us.”
Mencarelli is personally looking forward to a special guest on Day of Worship.
“It will be great to hear from former Dean of Chapel Carlos Tellez,” said Mencarelli. “He will speak about his recent experience church-planting in Atlanta during chapel.”
The one-day event will also feature times of worship, reflection and prayer.
