FunFest Provides Families Halloween Alternative
WINONA LAKE — Grace College will host the 29th annual FunFest from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the Gordon Recreation Center, 100 Publishers Drive, Winona Lake.
FunFest is free and open to all children and their families. This year’s theme is heroes. Children are invited to dress in their favorite heroic outfits or a costume of their choice.
“We can’t wait to share this fun-filled evening with the community,” said Madi Brill, a junior at Grace College and organizer of 2018 FunFest. “Our student volunteers love serving local kids and families.”
At FunFest, around 60 Grace College student volunteers will provide entertainment including bouncy houses and games, as well as food and candy for attendees. FunFest has been a tradition on Grace’s campus for almost 30 years.
“Each fall it’s a blessing to provide hundreds of children with a memorable, fun event around Halloween,” said Kearstin Criswell, director of student involvement at Grace College. “Regardless of the weather, we always have a warm and safe environment for kids in the Gordon Rec Center. We look forward to hosting the community again this year.”
