Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:24 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, West CR 200S, west of South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Tambra L. Davis, 52, Country Club South, Rochester. Davis told police she was driving her vehicle eastbound on CR 200S when a deer entered the roadway. She said she was unable to avoid striking the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
2:53 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, South SR 25, north of West CR 150S, Warsaw. Drivers: Jason W. Stromatt, 43, West CR 450S, Warsaw; Sean P. Busby, 50, South Amanda Drive, Claypool. Stromatt told police he was riding a motorcycle northbound on SR 25 and that a vehicle in front of him stopped suddenly. He said he tried to lay the motorcycle down and jump off. Busby said he was southbound on SR 25 when a motorcycle with no rider hit the front of his vehicle. A witness said he observed Stromatt riding his motorcycle erratically prior to the collision. Police reported Stromatt did not have a valid license. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:38 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, Parker Street and East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Tiffany D. Deru, 19, Middleton Lane, Bartlett, Ill. Deru told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on Parker Street and lost visibility due to a poorly cleared, frosty windshield, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a light pole. Damage up to $10,000.
6:08 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, West Center Street, west of Leiter Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Carter L. Cox, 24, North CR 100E, Macy; Jose L. Rosario Slone, 37, North Old Farm Road E, Warsaw. Cox told police he was driving his vehicle out of a parking lot, turning left onto Center Street and did not see the vehicle driven by Slone prior to the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
