Annual Fall Carnival Held At Community Center

SYRACUSE — An annual and popular event dating back to when the Syracuse Junior High School was still open, the Syracuse Fall Carnival was held Saturday evening, Oct. 27, in the Syracuse Community Center.
Lakeland Youth Center and Syracuse Parks Department sponsored the carnival with assistance from several service organizations. Volunteers included, among others, Wawasee High School students.
Children and adults could be seen in a variety of Halloween costumes.
There were crafts, games, a bounce house, candy, prizes and a costume contest. The costume contest was for ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10 plus.

- Brett Cornell and his sister Raina Cornell worked together to try to pick up something with the spider dangling from a pole. Standing behind them were parents Wendy and Landon Cornell.

- With help from his godmother Jennifer Dunivan, Falon Phillips gave putt-putt golf a try to get a prize.

- The bounce house had a long line in the Syracuse Community Center gym.
