Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:13 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, South SR 13, south of East CR 1250S, North Manchester. Driver: Kris N. Vancuren, 48, West Walnut Street, Pierceton. Vancuren was traveling on SR 13 when her vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.

4:54 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, South SR 19, south of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Rafael Arroyo, 51, Village Lane, Akron. Arroyo was traveling north on SR 19 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.

6:39 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, West US 30, near North CR 350W, Warsaw. Drivers: Piotr A. Lubecki, 45, East South Street, Wheatfield; and Kristopher R. Reed, 40, Beech Street 1, North Judson. Lubecki was turning west onto US 30 from CR 350W at the time of the collision. Lubecki’s vehicle was partially blocking the eastbound lanes of US 30 when it was struck in the driver’s side rear trailer area by Reed’s vehicle. Reed’s vehicle sustained extensive damage to the entire vehicle from the underside collision with the semi tractor trailer. Reed was pronounced dead at the scene. Damage up to $50,000.
