Warsaw Man Arrested After Officers Respond To Drug Overdose
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested with drug charges after officers responded to a report of an overdose.
Cary Duane Walls, 45, 1906 Sand Castle Drive Apt. B., Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On Aug. 27, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to Walls’ apartment regarding a female subject that had overdosed.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer spoke with Walls, who said that a female was overdosing on his bedroom floor. The officer located the female and administered Narcan. The female was then transported to Kosciusko County Hospital.
Walls gave the officer permission to search his bedroom. A glass smoking device that tested positive for methamphetamine, multiple syringes, and a pill identified as Clonazepam, a schedule IV substance, were all located in the bedroom belonging to Walls.
Walls was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 30, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
