Desenberg Headed Down Trail To Franklin
WARSAW – Warsaw Community High School senior distance standout Lex Desenberg has announced her intention to continue her education and athletics, setting her sights on the track and trails at Franklin College.
Desenberg, a varsity letter winner all four years in cross country for the Tigers, also qualified for the state finals for both indoor and outdoor track as a member of one of the state’s top 4×400 teams. Desenberg plans to continue to compete in track this spring as well.
A scholar-athlete with a 9.91 grade point average (12-point scale), Desenberg is a member of the National Honor Society, and she was named to the homecoming court. In the community, Desenberg has been a volunteer with the Beaman Home and she has worked with several service groups assisting Feed My Starving Children.
Desenberg is intending to major in marketing and graphic design at Franklin while competing for the Grizzlies’ cross country program and coach Brandon Dworak and track and field coach Demetrius Bailey. Franklin is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
