Paddle Auction, Veterans Day Events At North Webster
NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster American Legion Post 253 will be hosting several events this weekend.
The Quarter Paddle Auction will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Legion. Pre-sale tickets are $5 or $7 at the door. Food will be available and the event is open to the public.
The public is invited to participate in ceremonies on Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11. The North Webster Legion Color Guard will honor veterans at the following times and locations: 8 a.m. Oswego Cemetery, 8:30 a.m. Mock Cemetery, 9 a.m. Salem Cemetery, 9:30 a.m. Oak Grove Cemetery, 10 a.m. North Webster Post 253 and 11 a.m. North Webster Cemetery.
The Lion will host a breakfast for veterans and their families starting at 7 a.m. Sunday, and will be available until the food is gone. A ham and beans and corn bread lunch will be served starting at noon to all veterans and their guests. The lunch will be served until the food is gone.
At 2 p.m. the Lakeland Quilt Club will have a Quilt of Valor presentation. Nine veterans from Post 253 will be presented a hand made quilt in honor of their service to the county.
Russ Chandler, veteran and Post 253 member will entertain guests and members stating at 3:30 p.m.
