Atwood Fire Department Receives Grant From Pioneer Hi-Breds
ATWOOD — Atwood Fire Department is pleased to announce that Pioneer Hi-Bred International donated $3,600 toward the purchase of a grain rescue tube as part of the Pioneer sponsorship program.
“As a rural, volunteer fire department, we are surrounded by farms small and large,” said Chris Koldyke, Atwood Fire Department. “This generous donation for rescue equipment from Pioneer will give our department the ability to respond to grain rescues and engulfments.”
Over the past 67 years, Clunette Elevator has grown from just a grain elevator and feed mill, to a Pioneer seed dealer, full-service crop protection and crop nutrient provider. Over that time, Clunette’s interest in on-farm safety in the community has grown as well. Helping to obtain a grant from Pioneer for a grain rescue tube for Atwood Fire Department is just one way they demonstrate it.
Pioneer makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for outreach grants is given to communities where Pioneer sales representatives, Pioneer employees and customer live and work and that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
