New Endowment Fund At Kosciusko Community Foundation Benefits Mobile Meals
KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a new endowment fund. The Clarence and Louise Cook Endowment Fund for Mobile Meals was established by an anonymous donor to provide annual support for the Mobile Meals Program.
Mobile Meals is a meal delivery service offered by Kosciusko County Senior Services. KCSS coordinates volunteer drivers to pick up hot, nutritious meals prepared by Kosciusko Community Hospital and deliver them to seniors in the community.
The anonymous donor chose to honor Clarence and Louise Cook because the Cooks (Louise is deceased) worked hard for many years to contribute to our community and were generous in giving from their own garden. Before retiring in 1978, Clarence worked for several local companies, including Hotel Hayes, Arnolt Corporation and R.R. Donnelly & Sons. Clarence, now in his nineties, is a recipient of Mobile Meals and is beloved by all the volunteer Mobile Meals delivery drivers.
Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The community foundation is a public charity that grants about $2.5 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services. Gifts made to the community foundation are tax-deductible. If you would like to make a donation to the Clarence and Louise Cook Endowment Fund for Mobile Meals, call (574) 267-1901, visit 102 E. Market St., Warsaw, or donate online at https://kcfoundation.org/donate. Be sure to name the fund whether you give by cash, check or online.
