Night Market Offers Gifts That Give Back
WINONA LAKE — Grace College invites the community to shop at the fifth annual Night Market from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, in the Winona Heritage Room, 901 Park Ave., Winona Lake. Night Market is an alternative Christmas shopping experience that offers the public a chance to purchase hand-crafted gifts from local and international artisans while supporting charitable causes.
“At Night Market, gifts for purchase give back. A portion of most sales goes to support charitable organizations and many of the products are fair trade as well,” said Ellie Triezenburg, 2018 Night Market coordinator. “Grace College students also participate as vendors.”
Night Market offers a wide range of options to peruse in a market-style setting. Since the items being sold are handmade, each has a unique character and story associated with it that make the shopping experience special and memorable.
“Last year, we had everything from soaps to jewelry, toys and furniture,” said Matthew Bliss, a visual communication and design major who has participated in Night Market since 2016. “It provides the Winona Lake community a chance to find gifts that are tailored towards personal expression.”
