Claypool
Officers from the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, CR 600S, east of Woodland Lane, Claypool. Driver: Zachary Miller, 25, Chicago Street, Columbia City. Miller’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
10:01 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, SR 25 and CR 600W, Claypool. Driver: Kevin Good, 21, Martin Drive, Mentone. Damages up to $10,000. Good’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway.
5:84 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, Packerton Road and CR 600S, Warsaw. Driver: Edmund Richards. Richards’ vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
10:02 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, CR 174E and CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Todd Clay, 27, CR 175E, Warsaw. Clay’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $10,000.
6:39 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, SR 15 and West CR 900N, Milford. Driver: Gary Black, 26, Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw; and Robert Johnson, 48, CR 1400N, North Manchester. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. Both drivers advised that a turning semi-trailer blocked their view. Damages up to $25,000.
10:33 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, US 30, west of East Van Ness Road, Warsaw. Driver: Umunna Agunanne, 53, Sandstone Drive, Fort Wayne. Agunanne’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
8:58 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, South SR 15 and West CR 300S, Warsaw. Drivers: Cory Thomas, 42, Packerton Road, Warsaw; and Daniel Wintrode, 54, Guilford Street, Huntington. Wintrode told the officers that Thomas’ vehicle drove into his path of travel. Wintrode was unsure if Thomas’ vehicle had stopped at the stop sign. Both Thomas and his passenger, Ariana Greenwood, 5, Warsaw, were extracted from the vehicle and were transported for their injuries. Damages up to $50,000.
North Webster
Officers from the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:19 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, SR 13, south of Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Drivers: Natalie Eisman, 38, SR 13, North Webster; and Charles Stuckman, 73, Hatchery Road, Syracuse. Eisman’s vehicle rear-ended Stuckman’s vehicle when the traffic light they were waiting for turned green. Damages up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, East CR 200N and Boeing Road, Warsaw. Driver: Dana Hall, 23, Plymouth Goshen Trail, Plymouth. Hall looked down at her phone’s GPS while driving and the road curved, causing her vehicle to run off the roadway and strike a guardrail. Damages up to $25,000.
5:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Maria B. Sarber, 83, South Sunrise Circle, Warsaw; David T. Capps, 57, West CR 600S, Claypool. Sarber told police she was backing her vehicle out of a parking spot in the American Table parking lot and did not see the vehicle driven by Capps. Damage up to $5,000.
4:22 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, US 30 and North CR 150W, Warsaw. Drivers: Allison Zylstra, 25, Edgewater Drive, Mishawaka; and Juan Jaimes, 39, Kostner Avenue, Chicago. Zylstra’s dog who was in the vehicle’s backseat distracted her and Zylstra’s vehicle rear-ended Jaimes’ vehicle, which was stopped at the intersection for a red light. Damages up to $10,000.
3:23 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, West CR 300N and Sheldon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Julie Rhodes, 61, Westchester Drive, North Manchester; and Konrad Harrington, 17, Bobwhite Drive, Warsaw. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. Damages up to $5,000.
